Welcome Letter From Chairman Anthony Bonna
August 2002

The TARS have just completed their summer vacation and now its time to get back to business. I have come up with a proposed agenda for the club, which will be discussed after the "Meet the Candidates Day" hosted by the Port Saint Lucie Republican Club on August 18th. Your constructive criticisms of my outline are appreciated, as I want to provide the best program possible.

August through November is going to be a very busy time for the TARS. On September 7, 2002, the TARS would like to organize a walk through selected areas of Port Saint Lucie for our nonpartisan candidates. As you may note, this is the Saturday before the primary. We would like to work with the candidates and have them provide us with literature and possibly supervisors. We are also asking for the guidance of the members of the Executive Committee in helping us map out a strategic route. After walking, the club treasury will treat its members to a movie.

The TARS are also looking forward to holding signs and doing whatever else the Party needs on September 10th and November 5th. We would like the Executive Committee to make sure the Candidates know that there are teenagers willing to give them a helping hand.

The TARS will also be participating in Big Brothers Big Sisters' Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser, composing our own unbeatable team.

On the 21st of September, TARS will conduct their monthly meeting at South Beach where they will begin their newest fundraiser, the 50/50 raffle. We are trying to arrange a Voter registration Drive for October 4, 2002 at Friday Fest and a walk for Partisan Candidates on November 2, 2002. We will close out the year on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor with our End of the Year Barbeque/Recognition Ceremony at Turtle Run Park.

I hope and pray all of these events go well. I look forward to making a difference in the Republican Party's campaigns. I see good things coming in the next few months. Thank you and God Bless.
